Welcome to the Sustainable MBA Fund Homepage.  The Sustainable MBA Fund is an educational fund designed to benefit individual students who are positioned to have a considerable positive impact on the further integration of socially responsible business practices, and in particular dealing with the environment and people.

About the Fund...

The Sustainable MBA Fund is a non-profit organization with approved 501 (c)(3) status from the Federal Internal Revenue Service.  The Fund is also Certified at the state level to solicit donations as an Authorized Charitable Organization.

The Fund's major objective is to provide financial support for promising college students who specialize in areas of sustainable development (browse the "News for You" section for more information regarding sustainable development).
The Fund also develops mentoring and career services, including job networking capabilities and competitive internships for our highly sought-after recipients.

A typical example of funding will support select MBA/MS students who demonstrate an exceptional ability to further develop their education/career(s) through the integration
of the three core business sustainability values:

  • equity (people: "intra" & "inter" - generational)
  • environment (planet)
  • economy (profit)

Students primarily receive funding to leverage educational costs, such as:

  • tuition
  • books
  • room & board
  • travel
  • conferences
  • and other related school expenses

Funding is also used to maintain the various daily operations of the organization, such as:

  • employee salaries & benefits
  • sector compliances as a 501(c)(3) organization
  • office space, supplies & utilities
  • web applications, marketing & advertising
  • other media events and promotions
  • and various other important operational functions

The Fund was established as a way to ensure substantial funding for select students each year in direct relation to donations, grants, matching gifts, and so on, and as such, the Fund has written stipulations into its Charter Articles mandating generous award ratios as part of the annual budget.

The Fund would not be possible without the critical and generous donations/grants that it receives from corporations, government, various organizations and foundations, as well as private individuals.

For more information regarding the benefits of giving, please see the "Sponsor Benefits" section.
